Refund policy
Standard Refund Period
- Full refunds are available for event tickets purchased up to 12 hours prior to the event start time
- Refund requests must be submitted via email to tickets@alternativeartisans.com with your order number and reason for cancellation
- Refunds will be processed within 5-10 working days to the original payment method
- No administration fees will be charged for refunds requested within this timeframe
After the 12-Hour Cut-off
- Tickets cannot be refunded once we are within 12 hours of the event start time
- However, tickets may be exchanged for future Alternative Artisans events (subject to availability)
- Exchange requests must be made in writing and are valid for 12 months from the original event date
Your Consumer Rights
Under UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have certain statutory rights when purchasing tickets:
Right to Cancel
- You have the right to cancel your ticket purchase within 14 days of purchase (cooling-off period)
- This right applies unless you expressly agree to waive this right for events occurring within the 14-day period
- By purchasing tickets for events within 14 days, you acknowledge that performance begins immediately and you waive your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations
Faulty Service
- If our event does not match the description provided or is of unsatisfactory quality, you may be entitled to a refund regardless of our standard policy
- This includes situations where the event is cancelled, significantly delayed, or substantially different from what was advertised
Event Cancellation by Alternative Artisans
Full Event Cancellation
- If we cancel an event, you will receive a full refund within 14 days
- Alternatively, we may offer tickets to a rescheduled event or equivalent future event
Significant Changes
- If we make significant changes to the event (venue, date, or substantial content changes), you may choose between:
- Accepting the changes
- Receiving a full refund
- Exchanging for a future event
Ticket Exchanges
- Ticket exchanges for future events are available at our discretion
- Exchanges are subject to availability and must be of equal or lesser value
- If exchanging for a higher-value event, you must pay the difference
- If exchanging for a lower-value event, we will provide a credit note for future use
- Exchange requests are valid for 12 months from the original event date
Non-Refundable Circumstances
The following circumstances do not qualify for refunds outside our standard policy:
- Change of mind after the 12-hour cut-off period
- Inability to attend due to personal circumstances (illness, travel issues, etc.)
- Dissatisfaction with the event content (unless it substantially differs from the description)
- Weather conditions (unless the event is cancelled by us for safety reasons)
Force Majeure
In circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, venue unavailability), we will:
- Offer rescheduled event tickets where possible
- Provide exchanges for future events
- Issue refunds only if no suitable alternative can be arranged
