About Foraged Smith

My craft practice is rooted in metalwork, with a strong focus on sustainability, recycling, and bespoke design. I founded Foraged Smith as a side project while completing an HGV technician apprenticeship, welding lorries first sparked my love for working with metal. What began as making steel jewellery from “foraged” materials, such as cutlery and discarded mechanical components, quickly evolved into a distinctive body of work. My signature metal boob designs originated from recycled exhaust brackets, nuts, and washers, serving as both a playful and purposeful response to the environment I was working in at the time. Sustainability remains central to my practice; I strive to use recycled or reclaimed materials wherever possible, which is reflected in the name Foraged Smith. My current work is primarily in recycled silver.
